Influence of Vegetable and Fruit Wastes Vermicompost on the Growth and Yield of Black Gram (Vigna mungo L.)

Background: Composting is the process of breaking down organic matter using living organisms which can be used as manure for soil conditioning. Vermicomposting rapid decomposition biowastes earthworm species will enhance growth and yield plants. Methods: The vermicomposting vegetable fruit wastes was carried out during summer season (May-July) by vermicompost a pot culture experiment conducted in black gram three months from August to October, 2019. treatments consist combinations vermicomposted cowdung along with bioinoculants, Soil served control. biometric parameters such root length, shoot fresh weight dry on 15, 35, 55 DAS characters like number pods/plants, seeds/pods, pod seed/pod, were recorded statistically analysed. present study has been attempted convert vegetables waste into compost analyse its effect vegetative Black (Vigna mungo L.). Result: highest value weigh noted + cow dung Pleurotus eous (APK1) Trichoderma asperelloides Eudrilus eugeniae 35 day after sowing (DAS) least reported control (only soil). application T8 treatment followed other DAS. concluded that (F.W P. T. eugeniae) an effective biocompost L.) eco-friendly.
